How to effectively use the publish manager to manage the publishing process
Overview
The Publish Manager lets you control the status (Draft or Publish) of your customer led interactive experience.
Status (State) of your project:
When you stand up a new project, during the creation | edit phase
The status of the project will be set to “Draft”
Note: As you edit and make changes to your project be sure to save your edits/changes 😉
You can find the save button in the upper right hand corner of the editor
Publishing your project
When you have finished editing your project and are ready to share it with the world.
Step 1: Review your publish settings. You can find your publish settings on the toolbar in the upper left hand corner of the editor.
Within the Publish Settings window, you have the ability to modify the following:
- Page Meta Data*
- The Embed Settings*
- Loading screen*
Page Meta data Tab:
Gives you the ability to add Title, Description and Thumbnail to your interactive experience
Embed Settings Tab:
Gives the user the ability to adjust the Type of Embed Settings & Minimum Height
Loading Screen:
Lets you customize the initial project loading screen
The following elements can be modified:
- Title
- Background color
- Loader animation
- Animated hand cursor effect
- Cover image
- Image sizing
Close the modal once you have made the desired changes to your project settings
Step 2: Click on the Publish button in the upper right corner of the editor
This will bring up the publish manager modal starting the “publishing process”
effectively changing the state of your project from “Draft” to “Publish”
Step 3: Once your project has been set to Published it is now ready to be embedded or shared
Please utilize the embed code Snippet in order to embed on your website.
If you are looking to drive traffic to a non embedded experience, you can use the Page URL, which is a direct link to your project. You can also promote eko videos on social media platforms
Lastly, you also have the ability to Publish Updates or Un-publish your project
Note: Un-publishing your project essentially rolls your project back to a draft state and will un-publish projects that you currently have embedded on your website
